Job Description: Humanitarian Worker – Psychologist/Psychiatrist
Position: Psychologist/Psychiatrist for Humanitarian Worker

About e-Care Anywhere:
While many humanitarian workers described their experiences as enriching or rewarding, e-Care Anywhere recognizes the potential psychosocial impact that working on the front lines of emergency contexts and humanitarian disasters can have. Many of these workers are exposed to routine traumatic events, lack proper preparation, and face weak counseling support in the field. At e-Care Anywhere, we aim to raise the bar by offering comprehensive, accessible psychosocial care services and support to humanitarian workers before, during, and after their assignments.
We are seeking qualified mental health professionals with experience in field work and in providing mental health support in international humanitarian contexts to join our growing network. As part of our team, you will be at the forefront of providing crucial psychological support to those who are working in the most difficult and high-pressure environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Critical Mental Health Support: Offer counseling and therapeutic services to humanitarian workers exposed to high levels of stress, trauma, and crisis in their roles.
Develop Tailored Solutions: Work closely with humanitarian organizations to develop mental health programs that address the unique challenges of staff working in crisis zones.
Contribute to Research and Advocacy: Participate in mental health research focused on the humanitarian workforce, contributing to the development of effective support strategies and policies.
Collaborate in a Multi-Disciplinary Environment: Engage with professionals from various sectors—including NGOs, insurance companies, and other mental health providers—to enhance the well-being of humanitarian workers.
Crisis Management & Follow-Up: Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support for individuals affected by critical incidents, as well as follow-up care during and after assignments.

As an independent contractor, you will provide mental health services to Canadian humanitarian field workers through Telehealth, offering pre-departure stress management support, counseling during field assignments, and post-return support.
